Forbes: Bakalchuk family tops 10 Russia’s wealthiest households

MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) -- The Bakalchuks, the family of Tatyana Bakalchuk, founder and head of Russian online retailer Wildberries, have topped the Forbes list of the country’s richest households, the edition said on Monday.

“Company Wildberries was created from the very start as a family business, but the whole 100% officially belonged to Tatyana. It was only on December 31, 2019 that she handed over a 1% interest to her husband, Vladislav, so we could add their family to the rating,” Forbes said.

Forbes valued the fortune of Tatyana, who was earlier titled as Russia’s richest businesswoman, at U.S. $13 billion and Vladislav’s at $130 million.

A total fortune of the country’s 10 wealthiest families increased by $16.1 billion to $42.9 billion.
